In Time @ 272 High Holborn Oct 15 & 16

9 Oct

In Time brings together a disparate group of artists whose work shares an interest in addressing time.  The works variously examine time as a material, a concept and a process, and incorporate literal uses of time, as in durational performances and video works, and in 2D process-based works and 2D and 3D installations which look back and forth through time as inspiration and gesture.

In Time presumes the elided ‘just’, and looks with urgency to this time, our time, ‘in time’.

original call for submissions 7 Aug 2010:

Seeking proposals from artists working in time-based media, or in media which addresses time as a process or concept.

Practitioners in live performance, video, installation, theatrical experiments, 2D and 3D, internet-based and new technology (Have we missed out anything? That thing too, the thing without a name, submitthat too) are all encouraged to apply with an idea for exhibiting new and/or existing works.

At our disposal is a very large and flexible space with projectors and video screens, a contained auditorium with projector/screen and permanent seating for approximately 110, and a separate space away from the hurly-burly of the larger open area.

An ongoing selection of artist’s video will be shown in the auditorium; propose as many individual works as you like, video or otherwise.

Please send your details, ideas, bios, pictures and links to:intimeexhibition@gmail.com
